I created a Facebook page for the Westbrook Fire Department Call Company in 2015 as a volunteer Social Media Manager. I managed it, creating all content, until 2020. After renaming the page to reflect the company’s legacy name (Valentine Hose Company No. 2), the Call Company was later disbanded by the city. However, their social media presence grew steadily while maintaining outstanding levels of engagement on my watch, and it was an honor to represent Westbrook’s bravest and use my professional skills to give a little something back to the community.
